chosen to develop takes the form of exaggerated figures,
heightening the expression. I have also adopted cartoon-like
imagery to convey my intentions because this style is universal,
common and recognised by people outside the art world."
This visual language, with
some figures bordering on the cartoon-like, directly engages
the viewer. However, in his most recent painting there is
also evidence of development, of a freer use of paint, more
spontaneity, especially within his landscapes |
