Wynne Jenkins

A native of Llangennech, near Llanelli, he graduated from the University of Wales, Swansea. He lives in Carmarthen, which has been his home town for over thirty years and where he was Deputy Headmaster at Ysgol Gyfun Bro Myrddin.

His initial influence was John Bowen, artist, and his Art Master at Llanelli Boys School. He admires the work of Kyffin Williams, Josef Herman, Will Roberts, Claudia Williams, Shani Rhys James Tom Nash and is most strongly influenced by Gwilym Prichard. He exhibits in galleries across South and Mid Wales and is a winner of the Edith Lodwick Memorial Prize presented by the Carmarthen Sketch Club.
