An Introduction to Maurice Sheppard

Maurice Sheppard, PPRWS, was born in Pembrokeshire in 1947. He is the first Welsh President of the Royal Watercolour Society. Representing Pembrokeshire youth as a scholar to the Eisteddford Genedlaethol at Newtown in 1965, he was to win the Crawshay Travel Scholarship from the University of Wales – Cardiff in 1973. His 1993 Borderland watercolour – "The Golden Valley" was seen worldwide in Richard Attenborough’s movie – “Shaddowlands.” See biography
