Ceri Pritchard

Ceri Pritchard

Ceri Pritchard was born in 1954, his parents are the Welsh artists Gwilym Prichard and Claudia William. He grew up in Llangefni, Anglesey and attended the David Hughes Secondary School, Menai Bridge. After a degree in fine art at Liverpool School of Art, and post degree course at St Martins School of Art, London he worked in decoration and then as a carpenter for the National Trust, he has traveled widely, living and working in New York, Berlin and Paris.  After many years in France he lived in Oaxaca, Mexico.

His creativity has constantly evolved over the years and he has been drawing on an expanding repertoire of encounters and experiences.

As well as creating sculptures and paintings he also works with sound and video. He has exhibited widely both in his homeland and internationally.  Leaving Mexico permanently in 2015, he has now returned to to his celtic origins in the wilds of North Wales.
