Lyndon Thomas

Lyndon was born in Llanelli in 1941 and started painting and exhibiting in the early 1960s but urned his hand to domestic stoneware pottery with which he gained great success throughout Wales and the Marches.  However, health issues have recently limited his pottery making and so he turned back to painting.

The landscapes that fascinate him are open and sparse and in this bleak and precarious place, Lyndon finds nobility, stoicism and great strength.  He works in acrylics on paper using a palette knife to create uniquely textured surfaces with which to describe the landscapes of North Pembrokeshire, Snowdonia and the Lleyn Peninsula, in his own balanced and harmonious style.
